Tensioner 483

The Fine Wire Dereeler ME483 is suitable for high speed dereeling of the finest copper wire with wire tensions between 1.5 to 18g, which corresponds with dimensions of 0.01-0.04 mm. It permits a quick start and an abrupt stop without the risk of breaking or damaging the wire. A scale calibrated in grams can be quickly set to give the desired tension of the wire. Once the tension has been set, it will remain constant, even in the occurrence of a change in winding speed.

Tensioner 484

The Fine Wire Dereeler 484 consists of stand, supply spool holder, and tension head. The tension can be adjusted from 15 to 300 grams, as is suitable for enameled copper wire ranging between 0.04 and 0.2 mm in diameter (0.0016-0.008 inch / AWG 46 – 32 / SWG 48 – 36). The scale is intentionally calibrated in grams so the device can be used with other wire materials or different standards (AWG or SWG). A conversion table for the usual standards is attached to the left-hand side of the tension head. The wire dereeler ME484 is normally equipped with the supply spool holder No. 125 for spools up to 125 mm ø (4 inches). Upon request, a holder for spools up to 160 mm ø is also available.

The tension head can be provided with a wire breakage switch, which brings the machine automatically to rest if the wire breaks or the supply spool is empty. This accessory can be fitted onto the device at a later point in time. 1 to 8 dereelers can be mounted onto one stand.

Tensioner 485

The Fine Wire Dereeler 485 consists of stand, supply spool holders, and tension head. The tension can be adjusted between 170 and 3200 grams, which is suitable for enameled copper wire ranging from 0.16 to 0.8 mm (0.006 to 0.032 inch) in diameter = AWG 34 to 20, SWG 38 to 21, and for bare wires of all types that do not require a tension exceeding 3200 grams.

The scale is intentionally calibrated in grams so the device can be used with all types of wire, materials, and standards other than AWG or SWG. A conversion table for the most usual standards is attached to the left-hand side of the tension head. The wire dereeler ME 485 is normally fitted with the supply spool holder No. 160 for spools up to maximum 160 mm (6”) diameter and 125 mm (5”) height. Larger spools or pail packs up to 315 mm (12”) in diameter can be accommodated onto floor stands behind the machine. The dereeler can be provided with Automatic Stop Motion, which stops the machine in case of wire breakage or if the supply bobbin runs out. The auto stop equipment can be fitted at any time. One stand will carry one or two tension heads; two stands are necessary for mounting three to six heads.

Tensioner MDR033A

When it comes to the production of high quality electric coils, our customers demand constant improvements in productivity and quality as well as data gathering and evaluation. Meteor’s MDR033A electronic wire tension control is the response to that demand, allowing precise control while winding wire in the 0.022 mm to 0.2 mm (52 to 32 AWG) range. Skeined wire ends are also easily handled: the MDR033A is equipped with the latest hardware and Fuzzy-Logic control software to achieve that performance. In case of deviation from the preset tension setting, the wire is accelerated or decelerated by an electric motor. This ensures a constant winding tension. Should the wire become slack during large traverse system movements, a pullback system is activated, keeping the wire taut.

Wire tension settings can either be entered directly into the wire tension controller or entered by serial interface. Tension settings can be adapted automatically to any situation during the winding process since they are controlled by the winding program. Utilizing the serial interface allows for the gathering of process data, a function that is becoming increasingly important for high quality products.

The direct programming of the MDR033A is done via a dialog module at the front of the device. An eight digit LCD display and four button keypad ensure simple and fast parameter input. The MDR033A can be equipped optionally with a return wheel for thin wires or tension release for skeined wires.
